Evacuation alerts have been activated on the edges of Logan Lake, BC. Both the Thompson-Nicola Regional District and the town itself issued the notices. The Guichon Creek fire sits at 88 hectares. That one is not under control. Crews have eyes on it. Residents have been told to get ready to leave if things change.

A separate fire near Monte Lake, right beside Highway 97, burned 12 hectares. Crews were able to suppress that one. It is no longer spreading now. The two fires sit within a bigger push to manage the wider regional incident, according to authorities on July 30, 2026.
